Wait but who are you REALLY?
Derek Murphy has a PhD in Literature, and his writing and plotting resources have attracted over 3 millions views on YouTube and his personal website. A few years ago he tried to write a Very Deep Book on writing that got a little too fancy and symbolic, leaning into the “craft” aspect of writing and comparing it to magic.
Since then, he’s decided to rebrand the book, from the old title he never liked “BookCraft” to something clearer and more obvious “FixYourFiction.” Surprisingly, for some reason, this name hadn’t already been taken by another project, so he’s made it his new home.
Although you’ll find Derek’s writing and publishing advice spread across the internet, here you’ll find the updated, most recent stuff as well as more polished resources.
